Kayaks and Other Rentals
There are several rental businesses in the area for kayaks, canoes, tubing, and stand up paddle boards to enjoy the river and small lakes in the area. The one featured in the video below is right outside the entrance of the park and also makes a great camp store if you forgot any supplies. The river and small lakes in the area are a great way to fill your time!
Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake is beautiful and is just down the road from the campsite. We enjoyed the beach access in the small town of Beulah. There are also shops, restaurants, and bars in the area, making a great place to spend a day. We stopped at The Cherry Hut for some pie and coffee and also grabbed some fresh fruit next store at the Market Basket for our campsite.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
Last but certainly not least, there is all of The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore at your fingertips. There are beaches, trails, picnic areas, parks, the dune climb, a scenic drive, and make sure you check out Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor!
